IN LOVING MEMORY OF KAYTLEN MARIE DESTINY NISBETT Kaytlen was born into this world on Saturday September the 11th 1999 (For some people this day has become one of great sadness for all the loss of lives in 911((although in N.Z that event was on our 13th)), to us at that time was one which we celebrated our daughters birthday, now we also mourn this day for the loss of our Kaytlen, yet celebrate the life that she did have her with us...
Kaytlen was born @ 2.27pm weighing in at 7lb 1oz, Kaytlen was welcomed into this world by some of the many paople who she touched the hearts of so deeply(Mum, Dad, Nanny, Nicola and Aunty Kiri. I remember giving birth to you and your Aunty Nicola stayed right away I remember looking up and saying to her what are you crying for..........When you slipped off to heaven Aunty Nicola sat in nearly the same place just years later with the same look the same look and tears upon her face and this time in tears my self I said to her its ok Aunty Nina I know why you cry this time...I have come to learn that those were tears of fear and pain that she could not releive us of.. It makes so much sense now.
Kaytlen was bought up in the Hawkes bay for the first three years of her life and during that time aquired herself a large family of Aunties and Uncles and of course her little buddies Zane and Gage...(Sorry if I missed anyone out). Kaytlen was very independent and liked to do things for herself, she knew how to stick up for herself and when her sister came along it was the same there too, she was allowed to pick on Rosa but no one else could!!! Kaytlen Loved her sister so very much, but at the same time loved to wind her sister up.
Kaytlen could be a very trying little girl but she was also very caring and helpful, She liked to be involved in everything that was happening. She loved shopping, skirts, barbie clothing, polly pockets and Bratz all very girlie things which to think of is amusing as Kaytlen was a very boisterous girl and loved to get herself grubby, she would jump in puddles just because you said no, she would strip her clothes off and play under the hose then stand on her dry clothes cos her feet were cold, Kaytlen could always make you laugh even if you really wanted to yell! Kaytlen went to Kindy at Murdoch Park then onto school at Puhinui primary, she was so proud that she could read and would hold "school lessons" at her Koros house for her sister Rosa and cousin Nikita, She would sit in the chair and tell them stories and take spelling lessons they could spell the word any old way she would just decide if she thought they had spelt it right or not. Then it would be someone elses turn to be teacher. Kaytlen made some really good friends including Bradley, Kelly-Anne, Geneva, Stella and Sebastian who she would take turns at going t play at each others place. The movie "finding Nemo" and the sentence "fish are friends not food" became a topic of great delight with her Koro and cousins and for that matter anyone who would join in changing the sentence to Fish are food not friends then laughing, normally this was bought about while eating fish. Kaytlen Loved spending time in the bus(house bus) with her Dad and the family, going to the beach or just for a drive. Kaytlen fell ill on the 20th of January 2005, She passed away on the 21st January her Aunty Essa's birthday from Meningitis. A fairy tale that ended in a night mare still feels like it is going to end one day soon. Kaytlen was so proud of the thought that I was going to go back to school to do my nursing degree she was standing on our front deck 2days before she passed saying in such a proud manner"My Mummy's going to school coz your gonna be a nurse aye Mum" Sadly Kaytlen was not here when I got accepted into my degree but I know that she is with me everyday. I finally got accepted into my degree in July 2006 and maybe it is coinsidence or maybe it was written in the stars but the date that the degree started her lil sister Rosa was the same age Kaytlen was the day she past away 5years 4months and 10days old. We miss you so much Kaytlen, Fly Fly Lil Dove Keep With You Our Endless Love.... Kisses and Cuddles to last us a life time Until We Meet Again My Sweet Child We Love YOU More than words will ever say X x x x x x x x xx xx
